Two Kinds of Humans in This World II
- Who are the two kinds of humans in this world?
- What is the parable of the mustard seed? Matthew 13:31-32
31 Jesus told them another parable: “The Kingdom of heaven is like this. A man takes a mustard seed and sows it in his field. 32 It is the smallest of all seeds, but when it grows up, it is the biggest of all plants. It becomes a tree, so that birds come and make their nests in its branches.”
- What is the meaning of the parable?
- When the word of God is taught to the child of the kingdom who appears little or insignificant, and they practice it, are they able to grow up to become mighty like the mustard seed, and do far better than the seeds of the enemy who may appear bigger and more intelligent in the beginning?
- Can the children of the devil be so transformed by the word of God that they grow to become mighty like the mustard seed?
- When teaching the word of God, should you look down on those who are little, can barely speak up, and struggle to understand what you are teaching?
- What is the meaning of Matthew 13:33?
33 Jesus told them still another parable: “The Kingdom of heaven is like this. A woman takes some yeast and mixes it with a bushel of flour until the whole batch of dough rises.”
- What is the flour?
- What does the yeast represent?
- If you wish to grow as a child of God, what do you have to do?
- How long have these things been kept secret from mankind? Matthew 13:34-35
34 Jesus used parables to tell all these things to the crowds; he would not say a thing to them without using a parable. 35 He did this to make come true what the prophet had said, “I will use parables when I speak to them;
I will tell them things unknown since the creation of the world.” - What is the parable of the fishing net? Matthew 13:47-50
47 “Also, the Kingdom of heaven is like this. Some fishermen throw their net out in the lake and catch all kinds of fish. 48 When the net is full, they pull it to shore and sit down to divide the fish: the good ones go into the buckets, the worthless ones are thrown away. 49 It will be like this at the end of the age: the angels will go out and gather up the evil people from among the good 50 and will throw them into the fiery furnace, where they will cry and gnash their teeth.
- What is the meaning of the parable?
- Is Christ looking for all humans or only those who belong in the kingdom?
- When you are teaching the word of God, should you be in a hurry to separate the good seeds from the bad seeds, or first gather all the people that you can, teach them, treat them equally, and let them eventually set themselves apart?
- What does it mean to despise a little child who belongs in the kingdom? Matthew 18:10
10 “See that you don't despise any of these little ones. Their angels in heaven, I tell you, are always in the presence of my Father in heaven.
- Should you treat a little child as if they were nothing because they are little?
- What do their angels do before the Father in his presence?
- Are their angels able to carry out instructions from the Father on their behalf?
- What is the parable of the lost sheep? Matthew 18:12-14
12 “What do you think a man does who has one hundred sheep and one of them gets lost? He will leave the other ninety-nine grazing on the hillside and go and look for the lost sheep. 13 When he finds it, I tell you, he feels far happier over this one sheep than over the ninety-nine that did not get lost. 14 In just the same way your Father in heaven does not want any of these little ones to be lost.
- Does the shepherd go looking for a sheep that did not originally belong to them?
- Did the children of God belong to the Father from the beginning?
- Does the Father treat his children as numbers, or as only begotten?
- What does it mean to be an only-begotten child, when you have many siblings?
- When the Father loses you to the lies and deceit of the Devil, will he continue to be happy because he has many other children, or he will be sad and do whatever he can to get you back?
- Does the Father love each of his children as if they were his only child?
